Blog: What we've done, what we're doing, and what we will do.
Our blog is the place for everything relating to Extendmac; whether it be product updates, news, or tips and tricks. It may not be the most interesting blog on the planet, but we like to think that you'd rather have us build great stuff than write about plans to do so. ;]

We’re pleased announce that Flow 1.2.3 has been released. Flow 1.2.3 is a free and recommended update for all registered users of Flow.

Flow is available via in-app software update and via direct download. If you’re interested in reading the full release notes, you can do so here (opens in new window).

While there are no new features in this version of Flow, this version fixes numerous bugs, and knocks out all the widely known remaining crashers.

Do you create 64bit version (UB) for Snow Leopard? And, support grand central and OpenCL?

@iMatrix

Flow is not currently 64-bit, no. 64-bit is in the cards for future releases, but it won’t play a very large role for Flow itself, since Flow should never need to address more than 4 GB of memory, anyway.

As far as Grand Central and OpenCL: they’re terrific technologies, but they don’t really apply to Flow’s featureset. They can’t be used in ways that would make a difference in Flow — at least in its current form. Further, to support such technologies, applications must require Snow Leopard (that is, be 10.6+), not just support it. Flow supports Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard, so Snow Leopard-only technologies cannot be used in current and future 1.x versions.

I’m just wondering when ftps will be supported by Flow to able to access my NAS? Now, i have to use forklift which is not so nice for this kind of activity.

Thanks in advance!

I am an happy registered user, but have some concern :

  • I would like to use Flow in French.

  • I would like to be able to manipulate my tranfers lists, ie. being able to rearrange the download order while transferring files. That would be quite useful.

Thanks in advance.

Just purchased flow and I’m running 10.6. It won’t allow me to register with the license you sent me. No matter if I double-click it, or drag it into the window pane. Is anyone else having these issues?

Are you working on an app other than Flow?

I like the look and feel of flow but I will not purchase it (yet) because: 1) As Yû already mentioned – there is no rearrangement in the queue 2) and more important for me – it does not support FTP over TLS. And no, it can’t just use SFTP since the server does not support it.

Do you want localization for Flow. I can provide the Dutch translation, all for free. I did some other applications already and some iPhone Apps too.

I’ve already offered Russian translation for free – no positive response. That’s sad. And, I’ve got plenty of issues with Flow – overall, I am just unable to use it as a reliable tool for my work, so, I stick with Cyberduck, waiting for the updates and bug fixes…

The support has been awful, even as a paying member 4 emails, and not a single response.

@Vinny, I’m having the same problem. Flow straight up stopped working for me. I’ve submitted multiple support tickets… haven’t heard a thing.
