Blog: What we've done, what we're doing, and what we will do.
Our blog is the place for everything relating to Extendmac; whether it be product updates, news, or tips and tricks. It may not be the most interesting blog on the planet, but we like to think that you'd rather have us build great stuff than write about plans to do so. ;]

I’m happy to announce that Flow 1.2.4 has been released. Version 1.2.4 is a free and recommended update for all users of Flow.

The update is available via in-app software update and via direct download. If you’re interested in reading the full release notes, you can do so here (opens in new window).

A few highlights from the release notes:

  • Entirely rewritten bookmarking subsystem. Your bookmarks will automatically be transitioned to the new system upon first launch.
  • Droplets have been entirely rewritten, too. They now have a cleaner UI and are substantially more stable.
  • The “Shared” bookmarks and servers under Flow’s bookmarks list now have an accurate icon depending on what type of Mac they represent.

All the best (and happy new year!),
Brian.

It’s not possible to auto-update or to download Flow :(

I think there is a problem!

Version 1.2.4 does NOT add exporting Bookmarks to the menu.

Kurt:

That’s correct, it doesn’t. 1.2.4′s rewritten bookmarking subsystem makes adding such functionality much, much simpler, though. You can expect it will be available shortly, in the next release.

Until then, you can actually grab the bookmarks file yourself — it’s a standard property list file, called “Bookmarks.plist” in ~/Library/Application Support/Flow.

Bookmarks are not saved properly, anyone else notes this?

Btw, how come Flow does stop to work after one day trial showing some information from the developers?

I’ve noticed the same problem as M, some of my bookmarks lose their password when i restart flow.

Copy Web URL does not work for me, that’s very sad, because that’s the only reason for me to use flow.

And there is still no RESUME transfer option.. I’m still left with CyberDuck.. Extendmac please join us in the year 2010 and add a RESUME transfer function.

Bookmarking your website should not be a problematic process; using a effective automatic social bookmarking software you can increase the traffic to your business and increase backlinks easily and quickly.

I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the comments that this is working for you as well.
