Blog: What we've done, what we're doing, and what we will do.
Our blog is the place for everything relating to Extendmac; whether it be product updates, news, or tips and tricks. It may not be the most interesting blog on the planet, but we like to think that you'd rather have us build great stuff than write about plans to do so. ;]

I’m happy to announce that Flow 1.2.5 is now available. Version 1.2.5 is a free and recommended update for all users of Flow.

The update is available via in-app software update and via direct download. If you’re interested in reading the full release notes, you can do so here (opens in new window).

A few highlights from the release notes:

  • [Fixed] Issue with bookmarks on new Flow installs not being preserved properly.
  • [Fixed] Issue with bookmarks whose custom ports would not save.
  • [Fixed] Issue where new bookmarks would not save passwords.

Also: if you haven’t already heard, tomorrow (January 20th) Extendmac will be donating 100% of our revenue to those in need in Haiti, following their devastating earthquake on January 12th. Read more our participation in Indie+Relief.

I’m smiling. I picked up Flow today.

I was in need of putting down some money on a solid FTP app for my Mac. I had been use a free, older version of Fetch for a long time. Looking at the newer updates it still seemed a like an app that belonged in the OS X 10.4 Tiger days. I then played with the trial version of Transmit. A clear leader on the Mac. I held off making the purchase and I’m glad.

I had seen an ad for Flow in Tweetie for Mac. The beautiful icon was a must click. I briefly skimmed over the site but didn’t download the app. Fast forward 2 weeks and I got to http://www.indierelief.com/ and find Flow as a listed app to help raise money for relief in Haiti. I’ll be honest I scrolled down looking to see if Transmit was listed. But alas just Flow and Fetch. So I decided to I was going to blindly put my money on Flow.

So far I am very happy with it. I love being able to assign external editors. And you did a brilliant job with the interface and feel of the app. Much better than Transmit. Way to go. And thank you for donating these proceeds to the relief efforts by our former presidents.
